We attempted a hike up to Donut Falls in Big Cottonwood canyon yesterday. We had to hike up a paved road for about a mile before reaching the trail head. That road was free of snow so we thought the trail would be too.
But this is what the trail looked like! Deep snow.
These were taken near the trail head where the trail crossed the stream. It is a beautiful area. The weather was perfect! Eventhough we were surrounded by snow it was still very warm.
After hiking through the deep snow we were all too worn out to make it to the top! Maybe in a couple of months the snow will be gone and we will see the falls!
Jarom refused to walk in the snow, so Joseph had to carry him much of the way.
